In the past, offices and cubicles were closed off and cluttered. These days the office allows for collaboration and engagement by incorporating open plan designs. Workstations are evolving to take advantage of how the employee prefers to work, for example – standing desks, desks next to couches and long tables where multiple employees can collaborate informally, whilst also working individually.
Instead of stuffy boardrooms behind closed doors, there are now larger meeting spaces. Some even have glass walls, which promote transparency in a company.
